This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (I John 5:14)

Holy God,

Thank You for joining people together across this nation to pray together today. We share a common love for You, Lord, and we seek Your will to be done on this earth as it is in heaven. You are our Father, and we are Your children. We are Your people----the sheep of Your pasture. We enter into Your gates with thanksgiving and we come into Your courts with praise. We are thankful unto You, Lord, and we bless Your Name; for You are good. Your mercy is everlasting, and Your truth endures unto all generations. Blessed is the Name of the Lord!

We love You, Lord, for You are never taken by surprise by the unexpected dilemmas and disturbing events that take place in our country. Thank You for giving us a President who seeks to do Your will. Lord, he is just one man, but with You, he can do all things You ask him to do as You strengthen him. Lord, pour out Your Spirit to guide him and give him a discerning heart. Bring people of honor to him to support him and provide wise counsel. Make him to dwell in the shadow of Your wings until these calamities pass by. Perfect that which concerns him, Lord, for Your mercy endures forever. You will not forsake the works of Your own hands. Thank You for Your faithfulness to him and to America.

Father, we trust in You to care for our military men and women. By faith we say that Your provision has already been set apart for them and You do not forget them. You supply their need according to Your riches in glory through Christ Jesus. Lord, we are grateful that You have wonderful plans for each one of them---plans to prosper and not to harm them; plans to give them hope and a future. How great is the measure of Your love, Father God. We pray special mercies for their family members who wait for them back home.

Lord, our nation and its traditional values are being turned upside down by those who neither know You nor honor You. In these turbulent times, we turn to You for our peace, for our stability, and for our hope. We trust in You, Lord, to be our strong tower, and we know that You provide the secret place where we may dwell---a place of security and blessing and comfort. Thank You, Lord, that in this rapidly changing world, You remain our Rock and Fortress---our God, now and forever. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

the one whom you teach from your law,

94:13 in order to protect him from times of trouble,

until the wicked are destroyed.

94:14 Certainly the Lord does not forsake his people;

he does not abandon the nation that belongs to him.

94:15 For justice will prevail,

and all the morally upright will be vindicated.

94:16 Who will rise up to defend me against the wicked?

Who will stand up for me against the evildoers?

94:17 If the Lord had not helped me,

I would have laid down in the silence of death.

94:18 If I say, “My foot is slipping,”

your loyal love, O Lord, supports me.

94:19 When worries threaten to overwhelm me,

your soothing touch makes me happy.

94:20 Cruel rulers are not your allies,

those who make oppressive laws.

94:21 They conspire against the blameless,

and condemn to death the innocent.

94:22 But the Lord will protect me,

and my God will shelter me.

94:23 He will pay them back for their sin.

He will destroy them because of their evil;

the Lord our God will destroy them.

FATHER GOD, PROVIDER, RESTORER,

May we be ever mindful of Your Promises. What You do for one, You will do for another. You have no favorites.

May it be for America, as it was with David in Ziglag. When Satan tried to seek, kill, and destroy, David and his men RECOVERED ALL their wives, children, and belongings from the Amalekites. They trusted in You, and You, GOD, gave the victory!
