That happened to a kid in Santa Rosa, CA a few years ago. He was carrying a fake plastic AR-15 that had had its red muzzle cap removed. He died in an instant at the hands of a sheriff’s deputy who happened to be the department’s weapons instructor.
But, but, but...the officer at the press conference said it wasn’t a result of negligence or carelessness. Just an accident. Oopsy.
“Our conclusion in this incident was this was not a result of an act of negligence, carelessness or otherwise reckless behavior,”
Cops never, ever F up.
If a criminal doesn’t get them then their partner will.
It's OK for the cops to lie.
They shoot each other...what chance does a normal citizen have?
“Come on baby, come on baby, you’re OK.”
I was a cop for 5 years back in then 70’s. I can recall only two times I drew my weapon...both responding to night time burglar alarms. Today’s cops throw down if they see some one light up in a no smoking zone.
To be honest, training #2 and higher to change the orientation of either finger or muzzle while following is a VERY difficult thing to do. Mostly due to tunnel vision. Officers get so focused on the “target” or the pursuit that they do not see other officers.
And they wonder why nobody likes them.

If they catch the fugitive they’ll probably charge him with shooting the cop... isn’t that how the gov’t plays it? They never take responsibility for their actions.
i am very PRO law enforcement with several family members in the either PD or Sheriff Dept, but this is simply getting out of hand
that and i was poking fun at and the left always saying only LEO’s should have guns
stay safe
Well at least it wasnt carelessness, negligence, or improper behavior. He just said it was just an accident.
Pretty freaking pathetic attempt at a cover-up
Short video, but I saw several things that would have made me a little uncomfortable.
An example of bad gun control
The FReeper used to post: Crooks don't shoot cops. Cops shoot cops with Glocks.
Wish, I remembered his handle to ping him.
been shooting Glocks in competitions since 1990. Never had a AD with over 200,000 rds fired from Glocks with and without trigger jobs. There should not be an AD if one exercises proper gun handling safety. No reason for ADs with a 5 lb. trigger let alone with a NY 10 pound trigger. He was excited and under stress. Shooting in major national matches also causes excitement and stress.
I completely agree NDs are completely uncalled for and unacceptable (I’m a firm believer there’s no such thing as an accidental discharge).
