President Trump said Saturday that it will be a good thing when the U.S. one day has good relations with Russia again.

“I have been FAR tougher on Russia than Obama, Bush or Clinton. Maybe tougher than any other President. At the same time, & as I have often said, getting along with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing,” Trump tweeted Saturday morning. “I fully expect that someday we will have good relations with Russia again!”

Trump says he has taken a tougher stance on Russian than the last three presidents — Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton — but also believes that having a good relationship with Kremlin would be beneficial to America.

Trump's statement was part of a Twitter tirade Saturday morning following revelations that the FBI had launched a counterintelligence investigation into him after he fired former FBI director James Comey, trying to find out if his actions were influenced by Moscow.

Trump claimed that the report in the New York Times proves that the investigation into possible collusion with Russia was opened with “no reason” and “no proof,” pointing to it as part of a "witch hunt," a term he has long used to describe the investigation.

He said that former FBI Director James Comey, former Deputy Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe, and FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were all fired for “very bad reasons” and “caught in the act” of trying to pin Russian interference on him.

By removing our influence in Syria, we are allowing Russia to renew their influence in the Middle East

That is why the Beltway Gang is going nuts from Mattis to the guy working IT.

While I can understand why Russia -and most other countries - would prefer Trump over a proven craven liar like HilLIARy, it’s pretty obvious that it doesn’t matter much to them. America is America. They deal with USA, not just a temporary personality in the White House. The only exception I can think of was obama, and it was his bff moslem terrorists that Were so greatly aided enabled financed and armed —- not Russia.

The NYT story was a preposterous hit piece. As I recall, Mueller was appointed son after the Comey firing, so there was no real “investigation”. Plus we’re talking about a Stzrok, Page, McCabe political investigation.

I'm sure the Russians originally wanted Hillary to win because they knew she was throughly corrupt and easily bought.

That probably changed during the 2016 campaign when they realized someone other than Russia was going to be the highest bidder.
