That's true. It has already caused a weakening of the 'shield'. Maybe that is why half the people on the planet are insane.
Also, there seem to be an enormous amount of ancient underground cities or complexes dated back to the last pole shift. Maybe people had to live underground to escape the radiation from the Sun.
It’s not the EM waves (Note light is an EM wave) as the charged particles, also there will be an increase in the extrasolar charged particles.
