House GOP unlikely to censure Steve King for issuing support for white nationalism, supremacy

Rep. Steve King said Friday that he doesn’t expect blowback from Republican leaders in Washington or Iowa for issuing support for white nationalism and white supremacy in a New York Times interview — comments the congressman insists were taken out of context.

King, an Iowa Republican, said he initiated a conversation with House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., to discuss the matter and update leadership on how he planned to handle the controversy. King has been in hot water before for using racially charged rhetoric. But this latest episode smacked of outright racism and generated a rare rebuke from House GOP leaders.

King said none of his colleagues in leadership sought him out demanding an explanation. Nor, he said, has any punishment — the loss of committee assignments or otherwise — been threatened. A senior Republican aide in the House said no action is planned. The hope is that statements of condemnation from House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., and others are enough to neuter the

I always thought I wouldn't live to see the day they use these kind of tactics against people who tell the truth, yet here I am.

Stalin would be proud.

Any white person who refuses to publicly denounce his race = a white supremacist.

Any white person who loves his country = a white nationalist.

At least, according to the Left.

Anyone who misses 1950s America is a White Nationalist, that’s the definition they essentially use.

A total nonsense story. He was saying those labels shouldn’t be applied to republicans.

Meanwhile I hear every day that the democrats have a right to turn the country black and brown with illegal immigration, and that any effort to stop it is racist.

saw him explain this on the floor of the house today. He said he made a freshman mistake to give a 45 minute interview to a reporter over the phone with no recording being made. His words were edited and taken out of contest which make him look bad. I don’t think he will get suckered again anytime soon.

I fundamentally like Steve King, but I dislike his gaffes, and this was a seriously dumb gaffe.

A white nationalist-—>Used to be known as the average patriotic American.

Anyone using those terms to disparage should be caned, tasered and then deported.

He said he made a freshman mistake

A "freshman mistake"? King has served in Congress since 2003.

Glad he is holding his ground. These words need to be de-weaponized. All it takes is for prominent people to deny the libtards their definitions.

The terms “white supremacy” and “white nationalism” were coined by communists to smear whites who resist submission to black supremacy. The message is repent or die.

Critical Race theory has evolved in black studies departments over the last 25 years, dominates campus speech and behavior codes and leaked into mainstream during Obama’s reign of terror.

King’s sin is wondering how we got to this state where traditional American whites are marginalized as racist Nazis. The answer is the commies are winning.

The baby killing child sex abusing left continues to commit blood libel against innocent people. They need to be executed for their crimes.

Steve King's big mistake was talking to the New York Slimes. They will ALWAYS misquote and attack a conservative supporter of America.

Most all the MSM are contemptible but the Slimes are the tippy-top crown jewels of this sick perversion which used to be an occasionally honorable profession.

And the Times has people on their editorial board who want all white people exterminated. But we still genuflect to them.

I won’t live to see it, but the remains of the American republic will one day regret stomping out the WASP, White Catholics, and White Jews.

Seriously, there was consideration to censor King? Yet that -itch Tlaib’s MF comment was hailed as ok with zero consideration of censorship. Yup, that’s our Congress.
