I know I should laugh at your comment, but I won't. I've come to realize that you cannot over-satirize the left, because you end up eating your words.
I made a joke on a hi-fi site about improving the sound quality of my system by using each speaker wire to short out a battery every year until the wire gets warm. The wire is then fully “charged up” for maximum fidelity for at least another year.
I made it up out of whole cloth as a sort of slam on all the expensive snake oil products that people with really, really expensive systems fall for.
Then someone pointed out that there is a real product called a “cable cooker” that does exactly that. I kid you not. Talk about one born every minute...
