Is there any reason this should be a federal task? Does the TTB actually verify alcohol levels as noted on the labels?
To: posterchild
For heaven’s sake. President Trump should do the Executive Order NOW and with that out of the way, they can work on the budget. Chuck and Nancy are using this to solidify their new House Majority, not because it’s what’s best for the nation!

Oh no. Now I’m stuck with only 25,000 different bottled brews to choose from. That’s it! Trump, time for you to throw in the towel.
To: posterchild
Hell that does it! Stop the shutdown immediately! /s

Interstate commerce?
It is interesting how the courts were able to rule that a product grown in a state and consumed in the same state neer crossing the state line was somehow covered by the interstate commerce. So much evil has come from this ruling.

And what is going to happen if the brewer just go ahead and paste labels on their product. There is no one around to enforce the regulation.

Possibly - I was originally thinking about local brews but yes, many do sell across state lines though I’d be surprised that eth content and volume are truly verified by a gov’t agency though.
Pint fraud in restaurants/bars is much more common but that is truly a local issue.

And we need federal workers to approve beer labels...why?

Does the federal government review every bottle of aspirin to ensure the milligrams are accurate, or every bag of potato chips to verify how many ounces lurk within? Shouldnt a labeling law spell out what must be listed or what content must be present to call a product beer or malt liquor or the like, and then let manufacturers follow the guidelines? Does eveythimg have to preapproved now?
To: posterchild
It's a crock of crap, but it actually is a thing...can't get our labels approved so no growlers and cans being sold. And yes, it is completely worth it!!!
BUILD THE WALL!
To: posterchild
If the government can no longer permit the sale, what authority do they have to prevent it?

I guess we’re all gonna suffer because we have to drink beer brands that already exist. How terrible.
