The White Horse Prophecy is alive and well in some circles of the LDS community. Although he publicly denies it, I think that Mitt is egotistical enough to secretly believe that it is he who will save the U.S. when 'the Constitution hangs by a thread' and usher in the Mormon theocracy that will save us.

I've been a proponent of renaming the prophecy in honor of Romney but I have to admit that the White Horse's Ass Prophecy doesn't roll off the tongue easily.

Mockingbirds starting to build a scenario!

It seems to drip with sarcasm, so in my opinion the mockingbird was mocking Mitt, not calling for his ouster.

The little puff piece at the end about the current Mass Governor was out of place with the rest of the piece though, so it wasn't all sarcasm.

One could say he was pointing out that Romney wasn't even the best Republican Gov. of Mass in recent memory (that should be a pretty low bar, eh?)
