Met an acquaintance of a relative a few weeks ago. The guy has an 8 year old daughter by first wife, and they divorced about 4 years ago. Then, he “fell in love” with a gal who was pregnant when he met her, and married her too quickly. He legally adopted the child. Then she divorced him right after he signed the adoption papers. So now has child support for another 16 years, and suspects that was her plan all along.

Top this! Know a guy he divorced wife one to marry wife two who already had two kids because she was carrying his kid. After they marry and the child is delivered she has another. So now she has 2 from 2 prior marriages and 2 from her marriage to him. He then agrees to adopt the 2 priors so that all 4 can have the same name. Then he finds out the first isn’t his so he divorces her and in the proceedings find out the 2nd isn’t his.
Ends up on the hook for all four! He tried to undo the adoption. No luck. He tried to get out supporting the two from his marriage and the judge took literally one minute to you where married to her when they where born so by law they are yours.
After the ruling he dropped out of society and has never worked a day since.
