President Donald Trump walked out of discussions to end a partial government shutdown, now in its third week, calling discussions with congressional Democrats "a total waste of time."
"Just left a meeting with Chuck and Nancy, a total waste of time. I asked what is going to happen in 30 days if I quickly open things up, are you going to approve Border Security which includes a Wall or Steel Barrier? Nancy said, NO. I said bye-bye, nothing else works!" Trump said.

I wish one of those slugs had finalized the form 8606 so I could account for my RMD for 2018. All that was needed was to change the year dates as the law was not changed in this area. I guess they were too busy planning their end year vacations.

You missed my point entirely....
If Trump folds on the Wall, he IS done politically. He will have welched on the main theme of his campaign in 2016. Just as Bush Sr. welched on his “No new taxes” promise, it finished him politically as well.
While Supreme court justices, tax policy, etc are part of his overall campaign promises...if he folds on the Wall he’s toast. Many of those who voted for him, won’t do so again.
If you don’t see that as a reality, you should toss yourself off said cliff.
