...Men who do not suppress their emotions are vicious brutes who beat up women and children
Any male worth a damn has learned to command his emotions
The process is called adolescence.
About 1/2 of the posters on this site know exactly what This means
Women, best I can tell, do not go through this process to the same degree
As they are not physically dangerous to the male, without an equalizer
My Great Aunt, who was a expert on family violence in her time
However told me ~60% of family violence is initiated by the woman
They are just not physically dangerous about it (usually)
I agree with your post in everything but the above.
Training a male to control his emotions should begin by age two.
Anyone who has lived with a two-year-old will recognize that a male two year old has to be constantly constrained especially if he has siblings that he can attack (older or younger).
My step daughter has a eight-year-old and an eight-year-old. The eight-year-old is constantly in trouble with his mother because he retaliates against the eight-year-old.
Naturally the mother takes the side of the younger more vulnerable child. I cannot convince her that this wrong.
Hey, I am just a male. But I think if you wait until the boy is a teen you have lost the battle.
