What happens when the political opposition and the entire media establishment in Germany refers to your party as "fascists"?
Frank Magnitz, a lawmaker with German far-right party Alternative for Germany (AfD), was reportedly attacked by at least three men on Monday night and remained hospitalized on Tuesday, The New York Times reported.
Magnitz is the head of AfD's chapter in the German city of Bremen. Thomas Jürgewitz, the deputy head of the Bremen chapter, told the Times in a phone interview that Magnitz is expected to make a full recovery.
The AfD circulated a picture of Magnitz's bloodied face, writing on Facebook, "Today is a black day for democracy in Germany."
Jürgewitz told the Times that Magnitz's assailants beat him with lumber and kicked him until he was unconscious. Workers in the area reportedly came across Magnitz and alerted authorities.
“There’s zero tolerance for violence, whoever is affected and wherever the violence comes from,” German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer told The Associated Press. “We need to do everything to find the culprits and hold them to account.”
Lawmakers across the political spectrum in Germany have condemned the attack, including critics of the AfD.
Sounds like something the Democrats and media would do if someone took a shot at Trump. First they enable the violence, then they condemn it when it inevitably happens.

Just like the good old Weimar days when Commies and Nazis were busting each other’s heads.

Interesting. Bremen’s a historical hotbed of pro-Nazi sentiment in Germany.
This shows why Western European countries can’t emerge from their socialist economic death spirals.
Any political party to the right of center is inevitably attacked as “fascist!.”
So free-market politicians, parties, and reforms cannot make any headway. Free-market policies like tax cuts which have been proven to create prosperity are as rejected in countries like German as they once were in the Soviet Union.
In a Deutsche Welle, German prosecutors say this isn’t the way it happened.

“On Wednesday, however, prosecutors in Bremen questioned whether Magnitz was assaulted in exactly the manner he described. A spokesman told Germans news agency DPA that CCTV footage of the attack showed Magnitz being elbowed once, then falling over as his attackers ran away.
Bremen police have said that the attack was “lightning quick,” and that they were investigating charges of grievously bodily harm, saying they had no photographic evidence that Magnitz was kicked while already down.”
We’ll see. There’s quite a bit of difference in the wounds from being hit with a 2x4 and then kicked, and hitting your head on the pavement after being elbowed.
