Just watched story about Gavin Newsom moving into ancient $hithole CA governor mansion.
He’s a fool, the Sacramento governor mansion is surrounded by zombie homeless mobs.
He’s risking his family’s lives moving in there.

He’s a good actor, but as most good actors, he’s a nut job.
I agree, he wasn’t thanking satan, just saying thats who he was emoting for the part. It was a slam against dick Cheney for being like satan to mr. bale. IOW he’s a lefty. and heath ledger was the only thing to watch in his 1st batman flick and the last one I ever saw.
I mean, a Conservative actor (if they actually exist) could thank Satan for inspiring him to play Barack Obama.
Slightly off topic - I'd be surprised if even 50% of Americans know who Dick Cheney is!
That fact alone should qualify this movie as a comedy.

You may not be old enough to remember that the first time Jerry Brown was elected governor, he refused to move into the “mansion” because Ronald Reagan spent several million tax payer dollars remodeling it.
He was definitely using that line to slur and smear Cheney.
Theaters usually keep about 50% of ticket sales, so the movie needs to gross at least $100 million to break even.
After 13 days, the movie has grossed $30 million in USA/Canada.
There are no numbers at all for foreign sales, so it's possible it has not been released internationally.
As things stand now, the movie will be lucky to gross $60 million, so the investors will definitely lose money.
