How much did Mexico get in 2017 in aid and how much did they get in 2018?

Democrats DO NOT care about the safety and security of the families of their voters, let alone the rest of us. If I was a Democrat (way too much common sense for that!) I’d be urging them to secure the border and keep my family safe.
Politically trump would get at least eighty percent support Legally no court has jurisdiction over a presidential action to defend the country. The 9th Circus would most like have a fit but they’d be stuck out in the cold (and my best is they know it, too)
Time for Trump to star telling the Judiciary: You come and enforce it.
He is the CIC of all USA military forces. If he says “build” the answer should always be “point to where.”
I’d love to see them stop it.

There’s absolutely nothing Trump could do that the Democrats wouldn’t oppose, including saving the country. They’d ignite a world war if they thought it would hurt his approval rating.
For every action there is a reaction and Dems want the USA gone.

Hawaiian judges are especially out of their lanes to try to stay an emergency action by the President.
I have mixed feelings about this. The southern border needs to be secured. And as C-in-C, the president has the duty to protect the country from foreign invasion.
But the fundamental role of the US president is to execute policy, not to determine policy. Congress determines policy.
Bottom line: What a mess! I suppose Trump should act here. But make no mistake about it. Such an action will move the marker towards the Imperial Presidency end of the scale.

In fact, most legislation is drafted by lobbyists. Who loath any attempts to inhibit open borders.

No one seems to doubt that he has the authority.
They are just threatening to attack him if he does.
If he doesn’t, they will just attack him other grounds, with the same resources, so better to fight here.
