Exactly. We are paying a steep price for slow reporting, aren’t we? Think how much better your life would be if you knew this news a week earlier.

I wonder if they failed to notify next of kin for a week, too.

In simple terms....he was ‘dead’ either way? He’d be dead with the government working, or dead via the shutdown. It’s just that the general public didn’t know he was dead.

You know, I feel like I’m living in some Twilight Zone episode, where everyone is in some nuthouse and I’m the only sane guy.
