The report says one-third of recent undocumented immigrants came to the U.S. through the southern border and the rest overstayed a visa. CBS says according to the latest data from the Center for Migration Studies, about 42 percent of undocumented immigrants living in the U.S. came legally on work visas and stayed after they expired. Pew Research Center says the undocumented population hit a 12-year low in 2016 and from 2011 to 2016, a little over 500,000 Mexicans illegally entered at the southern border. Thats down from more than 2 million in 2007, CBS reports. CBS says as of September 2017, there are an estimated 700,000 foreigners living in the U.S. on expired visas.

Most stolen cars did not have the keys in them. i.e. you might as well just leave the keys in the car.
i.e. premise is stupid.
NONSENSE!
Exactly.
Considering how they did the math, I’d think that means the wall might pay for itself every month!
How about we try it and then get a real report, not speculation.
The ones who are actually able to gain a Visa are likely to be less of a welfare and disease risk, than the bunch leaving tons of trash on the cartel routes

It’s true that more than half of illegal aliens are visa overstays.
That’s why we need a fence/barrier/wall AND robust enforcement.
ANY illegal alien that comes in contact with ANY law enforcement is removed post haste.
That’s the way it works in real countries.
Well, right now we aren’t even stopping “less than half” so this would be a great start.
Bogus report.
The Wall will stop them all. Just like it does in israel on the West Bank.
This is all Alinsky based disinformation.
So, because police stop less than half the murders, robberies and rapes should communities just tell them to give up?
Sounds good, we need the wall and kick the people out overstaying their visas. Thanks for letting us know another area that needs fixing.

OK, now that we know who they are and how many of them are here, let’s start kicking their butts out of the USA and send them back to their home country.
Half is better than none. BUILD THAT WALL!
The Center for Migration Studies is an amnesty/open borders left-wing organization, just like Pew. Both claim to be non-partisan, but they are staffed with open borders proponents.
Wouldn’t expect much difference from them.
And, yes, the crossovers of MEXICANS from Mexico have actually declined since Trump became POTUS. There are reasons for that including more workplace enforcement and more job opportunities in Mexico.
The Border Patrol did not write his report; hence it is a bullshit report.
OR:
“Almost twice as many illegals will invade the southern border without the wall” report says.
Of course if they’re going to spin the headline, they’ve probably worked on spinning the research as well.
