Don’t think CONgress change the Constitution via a Bill.

NO WAY will I ever support this nonsense on the EC. It is the only thing standing between me, here in Alaska, and the welfare hordes of NYC.

“More than a century ago, we amended our Constitution to provide for the direct election of U.S. Senators,” he added. “

And just look how that’s “worked out!”

I often wonder why I have to provide a thumb print to get a drivers license, but if I have to show an ID to vote I’m being repressed? The only thing I can come up with is government corruption.

Let’s do away with congressional districts and make them at large elections too. That would put Cohen out of a job for sure

Gee, it would have been so much easier for them had Hillary won instead of Trump.

Now they gotta change the Constitution without the Senate, Supreme Court or the Executive branch's help.

Those are changes to the constitution. They require more than simple legislative bills

Does he really want to go there?

Also in the last century we halted the number of representatives at 435 on a majority vote. Does he care to change that also since it would mean better representation? They could do it easily but they won't because it erodes their power.

We're going to have some serious gridlock these next two years, that is, if the Senate can grow a collective backbone. Oh wait, never mind.

They will never get two-thirds in the House. This is kabuki political theater.

"or their family members. "

Which gives you an idea who their next targets are. If there's a difference between Democrats and commies, I don't see it.

“Outdated electoral college”? Because all of this country would be just fine with california and new york deciding presidential elections. He’s just a tad out of touch.

If the margin were real, legal votes, they would have the beginning of an argument. Wisely, the Founders set up the EC to offset the tyranny of pure democracy.

You can’t just introduce a bill to make a change to the constitution. Frigging idiots.

So the dems would be saying today Trump won the presidency if he would have had the popular vote but Hillary won the electoral college? they’d be demanding change if that happened?

Socialists. godam socialists. Rope and lampposts, people.

A damn stupid mistake we must never allow to happen again.

How about a bill that imposes a $100,000 fine upon any Congressperson who authors and submits a bill that specifically contradicts black and white wording in the Constitutuion that they swore to uphold when they took office?

To: yesthatjallen; All
Regarding eliminating electoral college, please consider the following.

If patriots supported PDJT in working with the states to politically “force” the corrupt feds to surrender state powers that they have been stealing from the states back to the states, and also put a stop to the feds stealing state revenues which the feds do by means of unconstitutional taxes, then Dems and RINOs would lose interest in DC imo.

Stopping the feds from stealing state powers and state revenues would be made permanent if patriots also supported PDJT in leading the states to repeal the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments imo.
