David Hogg Goes to College

David Hogg, supposed victim of the Parkland shooting and anti-gun activist, got the letter 42,749 applicants hope to receive from Harvard: an acceptance letter. In 2018, Harvard accepted only 4.59 percent of applicants, roughly 1,900 persons. Once Hogg’s tweet that announced the good news went viral, eyebrows across the United States were raised in befuddlement.

Hogg’s highest SAT score is 1270, and the average SAT score for admissions into Harvard is roughly 1480. Americans who ascribe to the ideology of meritocracy rightfully struggle with the idea that Hogg is able to meet Harvard requirements with a score approximately 200 points below the average acceptance score. Furthermore, Hogg already received rejection letters to several universities in California, but the premier Ivy League school of America found a place for the anti-Second Amendment activist.

So, scholarships? Or is the same un-named benefactor footing the bill for this fidiot like a recent resident of the white house. Is it "John Beresford Tipton"?

Isn’t he taking the spot of some minority candidate who scored 970?

Yep. Once upon a time, it was a very highly esteemed center for higher learning. But, like everything the BORG of liberalism touches, it’s been pretty much destroyed. Harvard deserves the lil’ hogster...and all his ilk.

Maybe but it will NOT be funny. So, will he choose to leave after the first semester or will hahvahd keep him around to “save face”.

Hogg’s highest SAT score is 1270

I don't know if the SAT scoring is then same as was decades ago but that is the exact same combined score that I got on the math and English tests! I am embarrassed!

As far as grades go, Hahvahd today is a pale remnant of what it once was. Don’t be surprised if he is straight A’s. His “profs” will arrange for it.

Will it be a distinct possibility that Pigg will flunk out?

I would love to see that.

For a long time Harvard was the premier institution of higher education in North America.

Then, in 1693, the College of William and Mary was founded.

He’ll get a diploma, regardless if he even shows up for classes

Nothing but a political stunt like ClockBoy getting offers from MIT

Hogg will do very well at Harvard. The lowest available grade is an A-, and the snowflakes melt over that one.

No.

It's not even in the same country.

All the standards of the SAT and ACT were changed to allow semi-literate dolts like "Sucking My" Hogg to get "good scroes".

In the comments, there are many discussions about how the standards were trashed.

You'll get some idea of how your scores compare to those of the Hogglette.

Samples:

The ACT has ALSO been rebased, but not nearly as extensively and remains much more-comparable to previous years. Mensa, for example, refuses to accept an ACT score after 1989; Triple-Nine will take one after 1989 BUT boosts the required score by 2 points (to 34 from 32.)

Yep -- a 1993 1270 on the SAT was likely a ~33 on the ACT (post-rebase on the ACT), and pretty damn good. In 1994, not so much and 95 or later a 1270 is flat-out mediocre.

Prior to the ACT rebase in 1989 a 32 is enough to qualify for Mensa standing alone. Post-rebase they won't take it at all.
