“”The terms of the current Congress will end at noon on January 3, 2019 as specified by the 20th Amendment. The new Congress meets at that time and will be sworn in then. They won’t actually start the impeachment process for awhile as they’ll need to set up their committees and the like.””

Are they kidding? Someone actually imagined them being sworn in and starting the impeachment process immediately? Is there no common sense left in this country - is there no one with common sense that will take the oath of office tomorrow?

Sure, they can start the process. But the Dems’ majority is small enough that articles of impeachment might not even make it out of the House. And if they do, they still have to get a two-thirds majority in a Republican-controlled Senate for a conviction - which ain’t bloody likely no matter how much the RINOs detest Trump.
