I think I recall from a few years back that the size of the Chinese Army was basically the population of the United States. Is that true?

The standing regular Chinese army (not counting reserves, border patrol, etc.) has about two million soldiers.

There are entirely too many unsubstantiated statements about Chinese military prowess on this thread.

Yes, but can the Dragon swim? If it could, Taiwan would have been conquered long ago and it’s in the Dragon’s backyard.

No, it's about 2 million.

However, America still has the best training, thanks to Baron Von Stueben. In Korea the Chinese lost 180,000 and the US lost 54,260. But China wasn't even fighting during the whole war.
