Townhall received the following statement from Department of Homeland Security Spokeswoman Katie Waldman:
Once again we have had a violent mob of migrants attempt to enter the United States illegally by attacking our agents with projectiles. As has happened before - in this and previous administrations - our personnel used the minimum force necessary to defend themselves, defend our border, and restore order. The agents involved should be applauded for handling the situation with no reported injuries to the attackers.

Forced to use teargas?
Methinks this chick at Townhall has swallowed the MSM lie about teargas.
ICE did not use teargas in Tijuana when that fat mama and her kids in diapers tried to illegally cross.
I doubt they used teargas this time either.
This is just a enemedia LIE to garner sympathy for invaders.
The previous reports showed just how staged the entire thing was. Ms. Baumann has some problems with wording at times.
Tear gas into Mexico is fine, but those few that managed to set foot or hand in the US, they should have been shot and their bodies thrown back over the border. Harsh? Yes, but we need to show that the border will be defended. Anyway, more immediately, President Trump should reconfirm the national emergency on the border and close it until Mexico demonstrates that they can control their citizens and guests. And keep it closed until the border is secured with a wall, fence, or whatever they all want to call it in Washington.
They should have used bullets..Those evil illegals were behind the women and children pushing them into the razor blockage..Every last one of them were more than likely a gang member who could care less on how they killeven children..
I think we are in a more advanced, confrontational stage of globalist, leftist, NWO social-engineering.
Local populations and patriots around the world have been to organize and push back. Confrontation hasn’t gotten that bad yet, but globalists have started to up the ante. The migrants continue to show up on Italy and UK beaches, or along the US border, in increasing numbers, accompanied by increasingly strident political demands from the Left.
A few hundred Humvees firing mini-guns at the invaders would end the issue.
I saw an illegal run right into the smoke...pick up a canister and lob it closer to the wall. It certainly wsn’t tear gas. And I don’t see tear gas in her words.
That is the damn problem. Should start shooting the communists bastar!s. We are at war!!!!!!! And it will get worst.
I actually went back stage at Disney in Orlando years back. Their security was tighter than the space center.
Couldn’t we just mix in a few percent Sarin for pacification?
So these people invaded our country and attacked our legal security forces tasked with the duty to protect our country from invasion? How is that not an act of war? And although I am certainly against such things as snipers on the border, or landmines, why shouldn’t our security use lethal force? It is clear that these invaders are perfectly willing to maim or kill our people? How can Pelosi and Schumer possibly defect this?
Time to break out some of those more powerful nasty agents stored at Dugway and test them on these hordes of invaders.
Listening to KFI-640 radio here in SoCal...one of their reporters that covers the border was talking about children wrapped in blankets literally being dropped over the fence into the razor wire. Obviously staged, because even Al Jazeera was already there.
But the reporter went on to say he witnessed a pregnant woman in labor being dropped over the fence, where she was injured in the fall and had to immediately be taken to a hospital...where she gave birth to an automatic US citizen.
