He was re-elected with Chinese money. He was vulnerable in 1996, as Newt Gingrich was temporarily ascendant. In return for that money, he labeled many important technologies “dual use” which gave the Chinese a 15 it so year advancement in guidance technology.
Thanks for expanding on my post with pertanite facts about what Clinton did (and when he did it) that allowed the Chinese get a leg up on their ability to target us with nuke missiles.
Also he moved many important technologies from the war department (it’s been the department of defense for some time now) to the department of commerce which eventually got Ron Brown killed.
Wasn’t a good idea in the Clinton era (and even now) to be a whistle blower if you like to breathe.
