Quite typical of mid-Easterners and those of 3rd world countries....many of whom have mental health issues as well. All the more reasons that a ‘merit system’ be implemented in the US.

I don’t think they underestimated the problem. I think they were blinded by their globalist ideology. Overcome by the odor of unicorn farts, they believed their vision of Europe as a non-national, universalist organization would automatically follow from their idiot policies.
This is not the first time ideology has destroyed the German nation. Rather than pursue policies that would ensure winning the war, Hitler again and again followed his National Socialist ideology.
This ideological blindness may be a German character flaw.
Well I cannot argue with that as I agree .....except of recent their Anti-Immigration Party surged in popularity so I’m not convinced ‘the German people’ are all on board the globalist agenda. It remains to be seen if the ideology blindness continues as a “German character flaw” or not. However the current leadership continues on that path currently.
Almost all of the people have “triggers”..just by the nature of violence and abuse within their comm unities.

American workers/taxpayers are subsidizing illegal Hispanics’ birthrate here in the US; we don’t traffick them here as workers, but as consumers/bipedal livestock. This past Christmas we were shown the annual ritual of Americans giving away “free” Christmas presents to non-American children; every September we see the same thing with school supplies.
The only one who believes otherwise is Angela Merkel who may be book smart and knows her way around with a “Chemistry set” but when it comes to human behavior is about as dumb as a rock and she fits right in with the rest of some of those Swedish politicians who thought they were doing themselves as well as those mostly lazy migrant bastards a favor by letting them into their country. Oh well in time they may get the drift. And politicians are not the only ones to blame, as it takes a screwed up populace, very similar to what we have here in this country (dumb ignorant liberals-socialists) in order to elect and re-elect those screwed up politicians with a good mix of republicans by name only thrown in for good measure.

Exactly. I first read it probably 25+ years ago, trying to better understand the Israeli-Arab conflicts that had been ongoing since the Partition in 1947-48. While it’s historical fiction, there is much historical fact and truth in there.
Then let's be very very clear about it. Germans were emasculated pretty thoroughly after WWI by the idiotic French with the very punitive treaty of Versailles. Germany put up with the nonsense for a decade... then the world had a Great Depression... and yet the insane French did not let up on the annual reparations demands, even though Germans were starving. Then some charismatic guy started telling Germans that they didn't have to keep being treated like crap anymore, and feeding French kids while their own kids starved, and they began uniting... and organizing... and prospering. Unfortunately for the planet, this charismatic white guy also happened to have some pretty wretched ideas, but he had a talent for assigning these tasks to some even more wretched people. In 100 ways, the face of the entire planet changed forever, all because the German people put up with mistreatment for 2 decades, and then got motivated behind someone who said that they could and should be great again. France has never been a significant power since. The Islamic World just might want to take note.
Liberals in America might want to take note as well, since they've been mistreating working whites rather openly for well over a decade now as well, and our new leader is openly encouraging us to be great once again, as well... and we are starting to prosper again... All it takes is for one charismatic leader to come along (I love our President, but charismatic and smooth-talking, he ain't, LOL), and the face of the planet could change once again, for better or worse. We got lucky in WWII, and some distant Good Guys won. That doesn't always have to be the case. We got a HUGE assist from a competing Evil Tyrant, in the form of rivers of blood... as well as an island full of quietly desperate Imperial subjects hanging on longer than most would have. We also were lucky enough to be an ocean away from two continental devastations.
