But Saint-Briac is now a legal battleground between the French state and the uber-rich villa owners, including Kerry's family, who for decades have defied a French law that allows for a small right-of-way on the city's beach for hikers and visitors.
Now it seems that the illegal efforts by the villa owners to keep the hoi polloi out of Saint-Briac is nearing an end.

Since when does less than a hundred years qualify as ancestral?
“Hoi polloi” is Greek for `the many’ and connotes the masses, usually in a derogatory sense. Hoi polloi are the ones whom Jean F’in Kerry is trying to keep off his precious beach.
“Creme de la creme” is what Kerry & his rich pals think they are. The upper clahhses don’t you know, old chap.
Once more, the privileged dirt bag bellows out with his usual silver spooned snobbery ... “DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM!?”

I’m willing to bet that the blogger who wrote this does not really know the definition of ‘ancestral’.
BTW, this estate was from Kerry’s mother, who was one of the famous Forbes family. She was born in France.
