Ha. Ha. If they get paid so much, why don’t you get a job w the feds?
I meant they get paid way too much for what they actually do. I make more than I would working for Fedgov but I have to do more than watch porn and complain for it. I worked for a while at an organization where the workforce was made up of a 70/30 ratio of contractor/fedgov employees. Our most productive days were when the fedgov folks were gone during holidays that government employees got and contractors did not and a couple of shutdowns when the gov people didn’t come in. The experience left me convinced that the fedgov workforce should be made up of 95% or so contractors. They would get more done with less people, be easier to cut when needed and taxpayers would not be on the hook for retirement, medical, etc. That is what I took away from working with fedgov folks.
