You need to re-read what I said. I am not arguing for zero patents. I’m arguing what we have now is crony capitalism. We currently give 15+ year patents. Maybe 2-3 years is fine, maybe 5. Why is 15-30 the right # of years? Why not forever?

Because the $2 billion investment cost must be divided by the number of sales. Reducing the time of the patent will INCREASE the price, not decrease it.
