This is a prelude to the establishment of an EU army.

Up until that shooting....he was basically going to be a regional Florida State guy who probably dropped out by the end of the 2nd year.

Hitler ‘drafted’ Czechs. Didn’t work out too well for them.

What made Germany great was universal military training, with the corresponding ability to accept and carry out commands instantly without balking, as well as to initiate them and take responsibility for the result. If they want to MGGA, they need to reinstitute it. They also need to turn back to Christianity for their moral basis. Without redirection in both areas, their efforts will fail.

Substituting immigrants in this role? That's going to be a very "iffy" solution, beginning with matters of loyalty to German ideals, and going on to immovable persistence. Italians? I don't think so.

Don't forget that the Turks ruled eastern Europe for half a millennium, until the end of their military association with Germany at the end of World War One, when they mercilessly slaughtered the Armenians. Turkey continues a requirement of military training for every able male adult, and is about to reinstitute some form of the invincibility of the Ottoman Empire unless they are stopped now. And it looks as though the USA is not going to do that.

” It’s a poorly conceived idea for a serious recruitment problem.”

I agree. However, it was conceived by a politician who can then point to it and say, “This is one of the plans I came up with to resolve our problem.” The plan doesn’t have to be a success. It merely has to demonstrate that the politician did something about the problem; displayed initiative, lead from the front, etc.

I don’t think the problem has an actual solution, as such. Frankly, I’d be investing in technology like drones that multiply the effectiveness of the manpower the military does have. But, my understanding is, Germany doesn’t want to spend anything on their military. This is evidenced by their submarine and aircraft availability numbers which are ludicrously low. Not to mention their lack of supplies ranging from deployment gear, to spare parts and expendables.

Fat chance of Germany, the most atheist country in the world, turning back to Christianity any time soon.

The logistical mess, from what I can gather, started after the Wall came down and they decided that they’d have one single massive logistical center and it’d be based out of Koblenz. For the past twenty years, this has been some ‘Frankenstein-like’ logistics hub with manpower issues, lack of competence, and inability to resolve long-term woes. It’s like you hired fifth-grade kids to run Amazon.

I’d hate to suggest it, but it’s almost like the KGB infiltrated the hub and has designed it to be a massive failure....week after week. I read six months ago that significant numbers of German Army helicopter pilots were giving up and leaving service because they were forced to re-accredit themselves because they couldn’t get enough flight hours every quarter, and they were furious at the military for forcing them to continually re-certify themselves.

Read somewhere the Germans were in Mexico trying to stir things up...during the trade talks. One of the reasons we got into WW1was due to Germany encouraging Mexico to invade the US.

” they decided that they’d have one single massive logistical center and it’d be based out of Koblenz.”

The idea of having everything centralized is 1940’s thinking. Given today’s amazing weapons, centralizing something makes its destruction in an actual war a guaranteed thing. Even sabotaging a few bridges or tunnels by covert action could effectively limit the utility of a centralized organization.

If I were to redo the logistics today I’d use a system like the replenishment mechanism developed by Walmart. An airbase posts a need for an engine part and the manufacturer makes the part and ships is directly. (Presumably, to replace the spare taken from inventory.)

Why do I suspect a lot of Muslims will join up?

What better way to get access to military training and then weapons?

Given time many would be put into positions of authority.

Oh the fun Europeans will have in the future when the Muslims show their true colors.

With God, all things are possible. You might wan to pray that they would begin to repent, that some might turn to God from lives of sin. It only takes a few for revival to begin. Think of Martin Luther. There are missionaries in Germany. Pray for their effectiveness.

“Whatever gene makes that happen...”

Then you will have to go after the Chinese, Japanese, Russians, and then after they are taken out, there will be sixty different nationalities hellbent on taking their slots.

It helps to have a non-native national military when the government wants subjugate the natives.

My sum knowledge of German is from Hogan’s Heroes.

I might do as well as Sgt. Shultz in physical fitness.

Civ - this is often a way for thugs in government to get their ‘forces’ to attack their own citizens - bringing in ‘outsiders’. Iran used this trick some years back when they were concerned local cops wouldn’t be hard enough on student protesters.
