Former ICE chief Tom Homan rips Nancy Pelosi for doubting border wall works
Washington Times ^ | December 26, 2018 | By S.A. Miller

Former acting ICE Director Tom Homan on Wednesday blasted House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi for calling a border wall ineffective and accusing President Trump of “fear mongering” with the illegal immigration issue.

“Every place a wall or barrier has been built, it has resulted in decreased illegal immigration, decreased drug smuggling. One hundred percent of the time, it has proven effective,” Mr. Homan said on Fox News, where he is a contributor.

“Look at the rest of the data on the border, where arrests of MS-13 [gang] this year are up 118 percent, the seizures of guns — for God’s sake — are up almost 200 percent. There’s your data. Look at it. You can see why we need a wall,” he said.

Mr. Homan, a veteran of the Border Patrol agent and investigator for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said Mr. Trump was “doing the right thing” in shutting down the government in a fight with Democrats over funding a wall or barrier on the border with Mexico.

The partial shutdown began Saturday, affecting about 25 percent of the federal government, including the Department of Homeland Security.

Mrs. Pelosi told USA Today that Mr. Trump was using the wall to “fear monger.”

If a wall is so dang ineffective, they wouldn’t have their panties in a wad over one....much less use walls to protect their own property...

Pelosi is confused by the operation of a wedge, the world’s most simple tool.

The fact that a major political party can be led by a bimbo who purchased her position by boinking a rich man says much about where we are today.

Someone finally posted about this evil witch. Thanks Jim Rob. She always gets a pass because the press ignores anything relevant. Notice todays statement by Pelosi and Schummer. They issued exact statements. When caught they claimed it was a Joint Statement. Thanks again Jim rob. This would all be Moot if Pelosi and her ilk were arrested.

Will someone tell my why Homan is on the sidelines? Did he retire, or was he forced out?

I don’t have cable, cut the cord a few years ago, so I am wondering; are there any ads running on TV in support of the President and the need for a wall?

I feel like this is such a common sense issue that the ads could write themselves.

“Good walls make good neighbors.” Shots of Pelosi, Schumer, Obama, Clinton(s) all supporting a wall in the past. Voting for a wall in the past. Cut to them not supporting the wall now. Images of politicians and celebrities with walls around their homes. Images of guns, drugs, and murders along the border. Images of Kate Steinle. Come on! Lists of all the other wasteful things Congress spends Billion$$ on. Foreign aid, money for the arts, etc.

This should be easy stuff if the Republicans were even remotely coordinated with the President on messaging.

If crazy old Nancy is so sure a border wall won't work, then what's the harm in building one? Surely she's not worried about wasting a mere 5 or 10 billion - Congress can apparently squander that much before lunch without even breaking a sweat.

No, Nancy's real fear is that she knows a border wall *would* work - and keep out all those future 'rat voters!

Great question.

I keep praying that POTUS Trump will do a ‘fireside chat’ with the American people explaining the need for and success of a wall.

And, all of his other accomplishments....that are benefiting the working folks.

Maybe it is in production, as we type. (Again...praying so.)

When I read these things, I really wonder what part drug money plays in all of this. I wonder how much power and influence the cartels have in Washington. When i look at the opposition to the wall on both sides of the aisle, I think it must be a lot. Otherwise, it seems to me, Republicans at least would benefit, voter wise, from the wall but if there is a lot of money coming to them from the cartels, then it makes sense to oppose the wall even though some of them might lose an election.

“Did he (Homan) retire?”

Yes he retired. Now he is getting paid TV money as a Fox regular, on top of his pension.

I think he is an effective and credible spokesman - so he is still on the team in a meaningful way, while other leaders are being developed.

You may be right. The cartels apparently are just about literally swimming in cash. Sure they have some significant expenses related to production and protection. After that though, how many estates, sports cars, luxury SUVs, yachts, etc. do they need or can they use? They have a lot more cash that would seem to be going somewhere...

The longer this is the argument, the more the Dems get exposed.

They need to do this out of sight of the public. Sunshine and honest open analysis are their worst enemies.

Because walls work. Rub their noses in it.

“Every place a wall or barrier has been built, it has resulted in decreased illegal immigration, decreased drug smuggling. One hundred percent of the time, it has proven effective,” Mr. Homan said

In a sane world, this would be simple common sense.

The government should propose a rule to outlaw walls around homes. See how far that goes in Congress.

latest wall fund update....

We are chuggin along everyone! We hit $17 MILLION yesterday and we’re by far the largest GoFundme based off of donors.

I’am heading to DC today to meet with Lawmakers, Lawyers, have a few Fox News interviews and we are finalizing our game plan to allow the funds to be used on the wall directly. You all will be very happy to see what a little hard work can achieve and how we have it pulled off.

KEEP ON RAISING FUNDS! Be our mouth, we are going to get the wall and we are not stopping
