adorno, if you go to Russia in person and stay awhile, you will understand the personality cults and idealization of the USSR returned after the 90s. The collapse of the USSR and breed of freedom and capitalism which defined Russia in the 90s was shocking and traumatic.

I was talking about the 'nostalgia' part of the article. People who didn't live during the Soviet Union's "greatness" would not feel nostalgic about that which they didn't experience. That they gained a new nationalism or patriotism after the 90s is not the same as feeling nostalgic.
I feel nostalgic about the music of the 60s and 70s, because I was around for that, but, I'm not nostalgic about the roaring 20s music and the dances of that period.
