A one-time ping for a couple of you. Behind the link of the posted article excerpt,...
"
As for what precipitated Trumps decision, Fox News first reported that Trump agreed to a pullout during a call last week with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan."
I see what's happening now. See
comment #14 for a hint at more insight into the situation in regards to Turkey, Iran, Russia and Syria.

"I read an article today that Erdogan and the U.S. have been in talks, and hes decided to hold off on a big offensive into Northern Syria for a month since President Trump has decided to withdraw U.S. troops. He and Trump personally talked this out."
That's true. And the coming 68er (hippie/libertarian/anti-Israel) propaganda offensive to distract from the consequences of that will be interesting for conservatives to watch while taking a break from contemporary politics. The Rand Paul contingent is now in the driver's seat.

Since I posted that info, I see the Saudi Prince has said he will send troops to fill the void of U.S. troops leaving, and defend the Kurds. Hopefully he is a man of his word. Does Turkey want to really get in a tangle with the Saudi’s, especially after the crap Erdogan started over Khashoggi?

Nope. The low level ones graduated from Dartmouth University where they were bred and the top level ones are from Chechnya.

I’ve seen that report also. Very troubling because I have zero trust in Erdogan. I saw that he said he was going to attack the Kurds in Northern Syria. I would have at least consulted the Kurds, but they probably already have intel on staging. If the Kurds were willing to fight them with our support, I would tell Erdogan to go pound sand. I’ve never seen a NATO ally attack another NATO ally but if he wanted that, it would be on him. He saw what happened to the Russian Mercs earlier this year. An estimated 300 of them killed with zero of our guys killed. If that’s what he wants, it might be enough to topple his government. I wouldn’t shed a tear over that. I think it’s a bluff and Trump fell for it. I’ll buy the Art of the Deal with Erdogan’s picture on the cover.

Oh, I hope that's true. I hope the Gulf State countries step up and do this. It would be really good. I think this would accomplish our mission. That I can get behind, especially since we would only be an F-18 ride away.
