So do not be surprised to see the President execute a veto or a pocket veto, then after much bad press the squishy RINOs in the Senate join with the Senate Dims and override the veto.
I think that Congress is considered “essential”. Wouldn’t it be sweet, however, if their support personnel were locked out like Obama did with the national parks and memorials. I would like to see how Dems, especially, do without any speech writers, coaches sitting behind them in hearings, etc. Some of them cannot even read what others have written for them very well. .
From an agency that should not exist, that is a good start. I'd wager that every single person who lost a job found a better one.
The media too is full of hate. Most of the people around here are not watching any of the news programs anymore.
It is all the same old hate talking points. The so called reporters and journalists sound clueless, because they are blinded with hate.
I didn’t know that govt employees lost jobs during shutdowns. I knew that contract employees don’t get make-up pay, may lose jobs or leave for employment that pays them. Since congress protects its own far better than they care for non-government based people, perhaps they have changed the law to prevent anyone from being fired because of a shut down.
His body language makes him look like he is alternately scolding his genitals and navel. Well, he likely has a navel anyway....
From the list of parts of the government that even Obama shut down, most were spending that I would not voluntarily pay for if given a choice.
I think Trump can be even more creative in dealing with Democrat-favored non essential spending than Obama was by blocking scenic view parking with orange traffic cones. Particularly this time of the year. National Park visits don't peak until June, July and August. There is plenty of time.
Actually, the House will carry the day and produce victory for the wall.

Trump always offers a generous deal at first. Once his opponents reveal themselves as venal liars, he doubles down on what he really wants and he usually (like with the Wall & shutdown) gets what he wants.
Pelousi’s gloating harmed Pelousi, not Trump. And, in the end, she got sandbagged.
Rush was letting POTUS know how we all felt. Rush ended that particular rant by admitting it made no sense. The next day, Rush explained how Donald is a master of pacing, which is why he always wins.
