Will a federal judge block this, on the grounds it violates “separation of church and state”? It would be amusing to watch one try. His staff would conduct a walkout. Including his bodyguards.
Trump should have worded it "In celebration of the birth of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, I hereby give federal employees...", just to twist the knife in.

There has been a decades long tradition of the Presidents giving the day before or after Christmas as a day off when Christmas falls on either Thursday or Tuesday.
