Arizona’s governor on Tuesday appointed U.S. Rep. Martha McSally to replace Sen. Jon Kyl in the seat that belonged to the late John McCain, sending the GOP congresswoman back to Washington just a month after she lost a tight race for the state’s other spot in the Senate.
McSally, a former air force colonel, lost to Democratic Rep. Kyrsten Sinema in November after a bruising contest in which she contended Sinema committed “treason” by making anti-war remarks in 2003. Now, McSally will join the Senate the same day that Sinema is sworn in.

Not really. This is pretty pathetic that they nominated an establishment candidate who already lost statewide and didn’t even have the fight to challenge some pretty blatant election fraud.
Unbelievable. She failed hard in the election. A childless woman with one very brief pro-forma marriage once in her life. Dislikes the wall, not a trump fan. And we’ll probably have her for 30 years now.

McSally was not my first choice, but anyone will be better than attention whore McCain.
I’m not sure “lost” accurately describes what happened. “slow motion larceny” seems closer to what transpired.
No bench and a proven loser appointed. Who wants to go through 2 election cycles to keep the seat in 2022?
