Do it! Go to Krakow. Feel safe. Youth speak English. Wonderful history and castle. We stayed a block from Schindler’s factory in a modern apartment. Better than France and Germany.
I would add, if you go to Krakow, go to the Wieliczka Salt Mine, and if possible, visit Zakopane.
