I was deleting emails today from an email address that someone else (Daniel Moser?) is using to sing up for things, resulting in incessant spam, and came across this (6/14/2018) pleading:

Impeachment is a threat to prevent Trump from destroying the Democrat party with thousands of indictments.

Threats are all they have as a defense.

The indictments may reach down to the GS 6 or 7 level in offices of the primary conspirators

The Constitution doesn’t forbid someone who has been impeached and convicted from running for another term

No, but the Senate can impose that as a penalty.

The Senate has two options after conviction:

1) Removal from office
2) Disqualification from any office of trust or profit under the United States.

They can do 1, or 1&2.
