TEHRAN, Iran – The website of Iran's Revolutionary Guard is reporting that a general who fought in Syria and Iraq has allegedly accidentally killed himself while cleaning a gun.
Gen. Ghodratollah Mansouri allegedly shot himself in the head by accident while cleaning his pistol, according to the Sunday report.
The report added that Mansouri was veteran of the 1980s Iran-Iraq war and a "defender of the shrine," a reference to Iranians who fight against the extremist Islamic State (ISIS) group in Syria and Iraq.
Since 2014, Mansouri was a regional commander of the Guard's ground forces in the northeastern city of Mashhad, some 560 miles east of the capital Tehran.
Hundreds of Iranian forces have been killed fighting ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

Well....it could have happened. Maybe he was just a bit drunk, and decided to clean the weapon while it was loaded.
Tough call. Either admit he was assassinated which shows that your security was compromised, or that he was an incompetent fool who can’t even clean a pistol correctly.
Wonder how far up the chain that decision was made at considering he was a general.
Didn’t realize Trump has now engaged the Iranians to help investigate Hillary.

Gotta say, I have been watching those old John Wayne movies. Muzzle discipline was non existent in those days, it seems. A miracle there weren’t more accidental discharge injuries.

Who knows. Maybe his favorite camel rejected his advances and he couldn’t take the rejection. Read somewhere that he moved on from little boys to goats and finally on to two humpers.

People have been known to “accidentally” handcuff themselves while cleaning a gun...
Then...BOOM....they shoot themselves in the back of the head.
