The “spectacular eruptions” looked more like volcanic burps to me. But I’m sure the locals are worried they may strengthen/worsen.
Oh, I know, thankfully this is not at present a “big one”, but if I was within a few miles of it, I suspect I’d be duly impressed. :-)
