REALITY CHECK: he spoke in English to foreign audiences who could not understand a word he said. The buzz was they had to pay people to sit in the empty seats and look interested. You're right... that happened. And folks in the ME felt it was insulting for our people to pretend they were 'soooooo good' when everyone knew the speaker's fee was nothing but a bribe.
