Thursday’s guilty plea means she is admitting to conspiring with an unnamed American to act at the direction of a Russian official “to establish unofficial lines of communication with Americans having power and influence over U.S. politics … for the benefit of the Russian Federation,” according to a plea agreement.
Sounds like a typical lobbyist.
Virtually every Congress Critter any many former Congress Critters are unregistered agents for foreign govts, but they don’t get charged. I wonder why.

If she committed any offense at all it may have been failing to register as a foreign lobbyist. In my book, she was simply exercising free speech. She’s not a “spy” and this prosecution is a scam.
