Giants game 2014. 25th anniversary go the Giant/A’s world series. A pregame ceremony brought together the players of both teams. Word is that several of the A’s players would not take part if Canseco was there.
That’s from the “Homer At The Bat” Simpson’s episode from 1992. Definitely one of the best from the entire run of the series. Mr. Burns hires pro baseball players as ringers for a high-stakes softball game against Shelbyville. Said ringers end up in a variety of mishaps: Mike Socia gets radiation poisoning, Steve Sax is arrested for every unsolved crime in Springfield, Ozzie Smith disappears into the Twilight Zone, Wade Boggs is punched unconscious by Barney in a barroom fight over who was England’s greatest prime minister... you get the picture :-)
