There are plenty of taxes on your phone already and those have somehow passed muster.
In fact my cell phone bill is about 20-25% taxes and fees.
Is that five cent federal tax for the Spanish/American war still on your bill?
Cable TV is the same. The base fee stays the same yet the taxes and fees have been climbing exponentially. It was unaffordable for us because of the taxes and fees so we dumped cable TV. It is a terrible value.
