Amazing how she didn’t fight that hard for Brexit!
Adam Bolton is the fat UK version of Shep Smith for Sky News.
Boris Johnson has had quite a few friendly things to say about the USA and President Trump. If he becomes Prime Minister, we should probably consider some extra efforts to help the UK in whatever ways feasible without trying to advise them on political issues (that is, not to be international busybodies). It appears from some of his bold statements in the recent past, that Mr. Johnson has a will to overcome some present difficulties and existential threats.
In a piece published today, The Telegraph appears to point to Mr. Johnson as a likely next PM. The Telegraph is a subscription publication now, though (need a login).

kick this shrew to the garbage can of history.
She is so repellent.
Like when Churchill replaced Chamberlain. Who is the Churchill for 2018-19
If May loses the Queen may appoint a new First Minister, who must be able to form a government that commands the confidence of the House of Commons.
Usually, but not always, that person is the elected leader of the majority party, if there is a majority party.
Right now, the majority is a coalition of two parties, and the junior member of the coalition agreed to serve under Theresa May.
Without a majority party, the Queen has a tiny bit more freedom - she could, I suppose, dissolve Parliament without the consent of the coalition since they have f***ed things up so badly, and try to have an election that would yield a stable majority.
The problem is that, odds are an election now would put Jeremy Corbyn in #10, and his first move might be to send the moving vans to the Palace to see of the Germans for good and all.
Interesting times.
Meanwhile, just one Chunnel ride away...

The problem is far bigger than May.
The UK has a uniparty, too.
The Conservative Party does not have 326 MPs, they only have 315. They govern with a confidence and supply agreement with the Democratic Unionist Party, which has 10 seats.
So, whoever replaces May is not entitled BY RIGHT to the Queen’s appointment. It is likely, but not certain, that the elected leader of the Tories will be OFFERED the Prime Ministership, IF he or she can form a majority coalition or can govern without failing a confidence vote.
But, given the lack of a majority party in the Commons and the absolute wreck the Tories have made of government, the Queen does have options.
+1
Sam damm uniparty that calls the shots in France, Italy, Spain, Brazil, SIngapore, Sri-Lanka, Togo...
Urban over-educated arrogant pr-—ks that have rigged the game for the last 100 years through all the central banks they own.

Would love to see a trifecta in Europe. May, Merkel and Macron GONE!
Now May is apparently promising to “stand down” in April 2019 if they’ll keep her in until she can find a replacement.
IOW, the EU needs to find a new stooge it can trust to screw the UK.
As I understand it, a successful no confidence vote would trigger a Tory leadership election. Whoever wins, most likely forms a new government with the DUP. However, this all would take time. Valuable time they need to try to re-negotiate a proper deal. A no confidence vote IMO ends up with one of two things, a hard Brexit or trying to extend the Brexit date rescinding the Article 50. If they did the second one I think that would trigger another referendum which IMO is a ridiculous outcome.
From what I’m reading, my opinion is the best option is she wins the no confidence vote but just barely. This would most likely force her to resign and an interim PM could be installed immediately with a vote on Tory leadership to follow. Whoever they install as interim PM most likely would win the election. If they installed a true Brexiter as the interim, I think this person could go back to the EU with a bold new plan to negotiate the Brexit. Neither side wants a hard Brexit (though for the UK, imo it would be far better than the current deal) so I can see a deal hammered out more favorable to the UK’s interests.
MEXIT
The need the approval of most,if not all of the EU countries to extend the Article 50 drop dead date. I don’t see that happening.
