Democratic leaders plan to offer President Trump $1.3 billion in funding for a border fence when they meet Tuesday at the White House, a bid that falls far short of the $5 billion Trump is demanding to fund a border wall.

Democrats, Republicans and the White House have until Dec. 21 to reach a budget deal if they are to avert a partial government shutdown, but talks are deadlocked over funding for the wall.

As House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) prepare for the Tuesday morning, Democrats and Trump are, if anything, moving further apart....

And all this time I thought Republicans were in charge of both houses, at least for the next month.

Yeah but these traitors are worried about the Holidays coming up and do not have time for critical thinking

Shut it down. Let it burn.

The only way we can rebuild from the ashes as this is what is needed.

The government has grown too big. Time to bring it to its knees.

Oh wait, we can fix it with a Constitutional Amendment and another election.../sarc

Give the 1st Special Operations Group a 1/4 mile free fire zone the length of the border

Agree. PDJT should move the BP back and move OUR military forward.

It is no longer a civilian matter (that is what the C in CBP means), it is of national security interest and has always been.

Take it and add a surtax. Every dollar spent on illegal aliens adds another dollar to the wall. In any form— incarceration, education, legal services, welfare bennies, special state benefits. Every dollar contibuted to an invader adds an equal dollar to wall funding.

How in the world can they be this stupid?

1. Media (including Fox News) spouting anti-Trump disinformation 24/7.
2. Our “educational” system being taken over by leftists for the past few decades.

0. An ‘opposition’ party w/o ANY opposition...except to their own platform/base (THE progenitors of the largest spending in govt in ages - NCLB, MediXYZ Part D, TARP and a return to $1T+ deficits)

No 1.3B and that is down from the $1.6B they offered

Pres. Trump got rolled in the last two budgets and got 0$ funding for the wall. If he gets rolled for the third time for crumbs for wall funding he can kiss reelection 2020 by. It would show he is not a fighter and not serious about the wall. $25B are shut the Gov. That would be the best thing for the people send these crooks home.
