Never liked Santorum, but he is probably right. The Dems require a candidate that their dependency voters can BELIEVE in. Track records throw shade on promises. They require projection onto an empty screen, which is why an unknown is always their most promising choice.

The Dems have a stable of elderly losers and unaccomplished radicals. Choose the first and the leftist base isn’t excited. Choose a white man and the women/black bases aren’t excited. Choose a radical and make Trump look much better.

Vato O’Rourke fits the projection gambit, he hasn’t done anything of note, and blathers shamelessly. His work experience starts with “punk band” and “live in nanny” and has few actual accomplishments thereafter (the Stones might consider marrying money a full time job, but sitting in Congress is not an “accomplishment” of itself). He has the empty vessels thing covered, but he lacks that critical something, i.e., he’s not black or female and wouldn’t be the first whatever. If he identifies as transgender Nation of Islam, and renames himself/herself, Kwanza Mohammedina X, he might have just what the Dems want.

Beto raised a ton of money. Beto didn’t use it to beat Ted. Beto was asked to help other Ds in the last election with all his contributions of campaign money. Beto said no. Beto is married to a billionaire. Just what is Beto going to do with all that campaign money he raised being married to a billionaire?
