Former FBI Director Andrew McCabe reportedly opened an investigation of President Trump for obstruction of justice after the president fired James Comey, the agencys former director.
The FBI had previously considered looking into obstruction of justice but did not act on it until after Mr. Comey was fired by the president, CNN reported Friday.

But the planned to open up the investigation even before that.
And they plotted to secretly record President Trump while wearing a wire to remove the president on 25th Amendment grounds.
I won’t hold my breath, but I hope McCabe is frog marched soon for this.
Lock him up!
Just disband the freaking FBI already.
It has clearly become far to corrupt to
function as an effective law enforcement agency.
Interesting - why is CNN, the mouthpiece and propaganda organization for the DC deep state, revealing this?
Is McCabe being thrown under the bus?

Obstruction of justice
Definition
18 U.S.C. § 1503 defines “obstruction of justice” as an act that “corruptly or by threats or force, or by any threatening letter or communication, influences, obstructs, or impedes, or endeavors to influence, obstruct, or impede, the due administration of justice.”
Overview
Someone obstructs justice when that person has a specific intent to obstruct or interfere with a judicial proceeding. For a person to be convicted of obstructing justice, that person must not only have the specific intent to obstruct the proceeding, but that person must know (1) that a proceeding was actually pending at the time; and (2) there must be a connection between the endeavor to obstruct justice and the proceeding, and the person must have knowledge of this connection.
§ 1503 applies only to federal judicial proceedings. Under 18 U.S.C. § 1505, however, a defendant can be convicted of obstruction of justice by obstructing a pending proceeding before Congress or a federal administrative agency. A pending proceeding could include an informal investigation by an executive agency.
It looks to me like the key word is “corruptly”. Without that corruption and unless the President of the United States is suspected of using force (something I have not noticed even in the 24-7-365 anti-Trump #FakeNews media mumbling), there is no obstruction. I cannot even imagine what element of firing Comey would have been corrupt. The man had to be fired because he was personally corrupt - using the power of his office to subvert the duly-elected President and thus the lawful government of the United States of America.
I do too but by whom?
Paragraph one please.
No legitimate reason = treason.
Total BS
“why is CNN, the mouthpiece and propaganda organization for the DC deep state, revealing this?
Is McCabe being thrown under the bus?”
It had already been revealed. CNN was putting an anti-Trump spin on it.
This blatant attempt at a coup d’etat must not go unpunished. It would signal the undoing of the Republic.
This Trump’s fault as he let’s these thugs walk all over him.
What I see is the obstruction of justice charge was the insurance policy in case Comey was fired. It was not only an insurance policy, but it was a trap strategy. If Comey was kept on, he would work to find any dirt by Trump to use against him. This would induce Trump to fire him before any more dirt is found. That would trigger the obstruction charge, which is what they wanted to get in the first place.
Give us a break!
Justice has been corruptly obstructed on several occasions over the last few years by Obama, Holder, Clinton, Comey, Lynch et.al. and not a damn thing was done to hold any one of them to account.
What we are witnessing now, and have for the last two years, is a PERVERSION of justice, pure and simple.
