TUCSON – New statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau show 262,000 moved to Arizona from other states last year.

Of those thousands, nearly 59,233 came from the state of California.

The second state with the most people flocking to Arizona was Washington, with more than 14,000 people trading in the cold for the desert sun.

Coming in at No. 3 was Illinois, with more than 13,000 moving to the Grand Canyon state.

The data also shows a large number of people coming to Arizona from outside the country, with about 45,000 people moving here after living abroad.

I think if you took polling among the 60,000....the vast majority were over the age of 60, and this was a retirement move to avoid property taxes, income taxes, and increased crime.

From my four military years in the state, I observed that locals hardly ever wanted to leave Arizona (in particular Tucson).

I’m in Rucson and we will never leave here. Never go to Phoenix. Too busy and no charm. Yes we are gettting an influx of Ca folks and probably why we have a Code Pink senator now. They ruin every state they move to. Look at Montana. They re-elected that asshole

“Of those thousands, nearly 59,233 came from the state of California.”

Is it nearly 60,000 or is it nearly 59,233?

“I’m in Rucson and we will never leave here.”

You say that, but the reality is...

Jojo left his home in Rucson, Arizona
For some California grass

All our CA friends in Tucson are conservative. Plus IL people trend more conservative.

They screw up their home states, California, Washington, Illinois, with their voting SOLID DEMOCRAT, to the point where they cannot stand it any more, then move to places that are conservative and immediately begin the process of screwing those places up, voting STRAIGHT TICKET DEMOCRAT AGAIN!...

My boss’ sister just moved from California to here in Florida because of the taxes and super high cost of living. Being a Prius driving smug liberal, tells us we are all wrong headed for voting Republican.................

I’m hoping some of those moving to Arizona are conservatives who have had it with their former liberal states.

It always amazes me that they leave *there* because of the mess their states are in and come *here* to make *here* like it was *there*.

Typical liberal convoluted logic.

Nope, none of them are. All the liberals who love CA leftist politics want to move to conservative states.

Makes perfect sense right?☺

We left CA in our rear view mirror when moving here.
Too many are bringing it with them, petty little HOA dictators, those who have retired and can afford to do it, driving prices up, limousine liberals... it’s a mess.

What are they bringing us? That is the question. If they’re deleting CA from their lives, maybe they’re deleting CA thinking from their minds? California Dreaming on.
