If passed, I think this will go to the Supreme Court. This would likely be found unconstitutional and may result in many NY gun laws being overturned. Little Andy is a corrupt tyrant. He needs to be removed from office.
I'm not so sure about that. The original SAFE Act has gone nowhere near the Supreme Court and it's been over five years. I don't pretend to understand how things flow that way, but it seems like this particular flow is stuck in the mud.
I have no reason to believe SAFE Act II will get any closer, but I know it's going to get passed and signed pretty quickly. The Democrats here in the People's Republic of New York had been denied their majority in the state Senate for the past seven years by a group of their own who caucused as the Independent Democratic Conference (IDC) and joined with the Republicans to give them the majority. (That meant we only went to hell 3/4 as fast.) The last of that IDC group has now been defeated and the NYS RATS are going to make up for lost time, especially with il figlio del sfaccimm, Andrew Cuomo, having Presidential delusions of grandeur and needing to show he's the leftist of all leftists.
