“Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet has been retweeted more than 26,000 times and liked more than 72,000 times.”

And that is the MAIN POINT.

I was on a RIGHT-WING website and pointed out that total military spending since WW1 was still less than the $21T, which, by the way, would finance a couple of thousand carrier groups, along with all of their supporting aircraft (we have about 10 carrier groups these days).

Instead of saying “Thanks, I had no clue”, the reaction was something to the effect that “People need to GO TO JAIL” over this.

So yea, while we may be giggling at the Left for their stupid math, the retweets show they’ve won, yet again.

Perhaps it’s time to actually ENGAGE THEM (in a peaceful manner, of course)? Just maybe?

Hit-and-run.

"A lie can travel around the world and back again while the truth is lacing up its boots."

It takes a second to spread a lie and can take days or longer to try to correct the record and then there is no guarantee you ever can.

Once the lie is out there it's difficult to correct the public record.

military spending since WW1 was still less than the $21T...

And total defense spending during the period audited was about 1/2 the $21T figure. So basically, every single $ going into the defense would be "missing", and then counted as "missing" again when paid out. More likely, the report isn't worth the paper it's written on.
