She did report the incident. The prosecutor declined to press any charges. I don’t have any interest in defending Murphy, but THAT seems to be the bigger issue here.
Fair enough, I just scanned the story and missed any part where they talked about her reporting it to law enforcement.
I don’t think she immediately reported it and that has bearing on why it wasn’t pursued.
Women have got to learn to call the cops immediately, not 24 or 48 hours later or a week later or whatever.
If it isn’t immediately reported, then it just looks like regret/revenge reporting and is in the He said/she said impossible to prove category.
