I’m not a fan of unpaid internships, either. If minimum wage is good for the rest of us, it’s good for them, too.
Community organizing is lucrative business for the organizers. It's not for the people they want to organize.
The minute AOC gets sworn in, all this happy talk about helping the poor, climate change, homelessness, etc. is going to go out the window. Because she'll be receiving fat checks on the side from leftists on K street and from other left-wing orgs to advance THEIR agenda.
Meanwhile, the people in her district and people who believe they'll be taken care of by big government will have been lied to and will be right where they are now. Just like the people on the Southside of Chicago are still poor and crime-ridden after 8 years of Obama.
